Visiting Mirador Altos de Baracán

Mirador Altos de Baracán is a stunning viewpoint situated in the Anaga Rural Park, in the northeast of the island, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

To reach the Mirador Altos de Baracán, visitors can take a scenic drive through the Anaga Rural Park, which is characterized by steep mountains, deep valleys, and lush forests. The viewpoint is located at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level and offers panoramic views of the coastline, the villages, and the forests.

At the viewpoint, visitors can park in a small car park with no amenities, you can walk for a few meters into the hillside either side of the car park for a less obscructed view to the east and to the west.   This viewing pint is essentially righ on the edge of a ridge so it can be incredibly windy and a little scary for some people on a gusty day.

  8. Mirador de Jardina: Situated near La Laguna, from here, you can see the northeastern part of Tenerife, including the Anaga Mountains and the coastline.
  9. Mirador de Ortuño: Located in the Orotava Valley, it provides views of the lush pine forests and, on clear days, the islands of La Palma and El Hierro.
  10. Mirador de Pico del Inglés: Another viewpoint in the Anaga Mountains, it offers panoramic views of the mountains, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and the eastern coastline.
  11. Mirador de Izana: Located near the Teide Observatory, it provides a unique perspective of Mount Teide and the eastern part of Tenerife.
  12. Mirador de San Pedro: Located in Los Realejos, it offers panoramic views of the northern coast of Tenerife.
  13. Mirador de La Centinela: Situated in San Miguel de Abona, from here, you can see the southern part of Tenerife, including the coastline and the towns below.
