About Lago Martiánez
Lago Martiánez is a large saltwater swimming pool complex designed by César Manrique and is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island.
The complex consists of a series of interconnected swimming pools, surrounded by a large sunbathing area and beautiful gardens. The pools are filled with saltwater, which is pumped in directly from the sea, and are designed to mimic natural rock formations and lagoons. The largest pool, known as the Lake, is surrounded by palm trees and waterfalls, and is the centerpiece of the complex.
